MMixdesk Review (2026)
We researched Mixdesk in depth - its omnichannel inbox, AI Agents, WhatsApp connection models, translation layer, and workspace-based pricing - through verified user reviews, official documentation, and pricing data.
Mixdesk is the global brand of Meiqia, a customer service platform that has operated in China since 2014. It pulls website chat, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, TikTok, LINE, Telegram, and email into one shared inbox, and layers AI Agents, 27+ language translation, and workflow automation on top. Its sharpest differentiator is pricing: every plan includes unlimited teammates, so a 20-person team pays the same $49 or $199 per month as a team of three. For cross-border sellers, manufacturers, and gaming or travel companies handling multilingual inbound chat at volume, that pricing model is the reason to look at it.
The honest caveat is evidence. Mixdesk launched internationally in 2024, and the major review platforms do not yet list enough verified user reviews to judge reliability, support quality, or day-to-day UX - the published results (90% AI resolution, 80 staff hours saved per week) are vendor-reported customer stories. AI Agents start on the $199 Pro plan, the API and webhooks are reserved for the custom-priced Expert tier, and the free trial lasts only three days. Its WhatsApp App connection also runs outside Meta's official Business API, which carries account-restriction risk that Mixdesk's own documentation spells out.

Pros & Cons
Everything we found - after 12 hours of research and analysis.
What Mixdesk nails
- Unlimited teammates on every plan, including Free - pricing is per workspace, so adding sales, support, and marketing staff never changes the bill; for teams of 10+ agents this is the single biggest cost lever in the category
- Nine channel types in one inbox - website chat, WhatsApp Business API, WhatsApp App, Messenger, Instagram, TikTok Business, LINE, Telegram (including group chats), and email - plus Android and iOS SDKs for in-app support
- Built-in translation across 27+ languages for both AI replies and human agents - a practical advantage for cross-border sellers whose customers write in languages the team does not speak (each plan includes a one-time character bonus; ongoing volume is priced separately)
- Connecting a WhatsApp App account imports existing conversation history and contacts, and replies sent from the phone sync back into the inbox - teams do not start with an empty history
- AI Agents take knowledge from documents, Q&A pairs, web URLs, and spreadsheets, support multiple personas, and can connect to external Dify or Coze agents for teams that build their own AI logic
- Published support standard with concrete targets - 30-minute initial response for critical issues and 24/7 website live support on every plan, including Free
Where it falls short
- Almost no independent track record - the major review platforms list no meaningful volume of verified user reviews yet, and the iOS app has a single rating; reliability and support quality cannot be confirmed beyond vendor claims
- AI Agents require the Pro plan at $199/month - Free and Essential include no AI messages at all, so the jump from the $49 entry plan to any AI capability is roughly 4x
- API and webhooks are Expert-only with custom pricing - teams that need to sync conversations into a CRM or data warehouse programmatically cannot do it on any self-serve plan
- The WhatsApp App connection runs through cloud devices and residential IPs rather than Meta's official Business API - Mixdesk's own guide warns WhatsApp may restrict accounts and recommends caps as low as 10-15 new contacts per day for new numbers
- The 3-day free trial is very short for a platform with AI Agents, workflows, and channel setup to evaluate - and the Free plan's 10-conversation allowance is too small for a meaningful test afterwards
Who should - and shouldn't - use it
Mixdesk is excellent for a specific profile. Being honest about the mismatch saves you a painful migration later.
Great fit for you if…
- Cross-border ecommerce, manufacturing, and sourcing businesses that receive inbound inquiries in many languages across WhatsApp, LINE, Telegram, and website chat and want AI to qualify leads before sales takes over
- Teams of 10+ agents that are paying heavily for per-seat licences elsewhere - the workspace-based pricing keeps the bill flat as headcount grows
- Businesses with a large Asia-Pacific customer base, where LINE, Telegram, and WhatsApp coverage matters more than email ticketing and where the vendor's UTC+8 support hours overlap the working day
- Gaming and app companies that want one inbox for in-app chat via the Android and iOS SDKs alongside Facebook and other social channels
Skip Mixdesk if…
- You need proof of reliability before committing - with almost no verified user reviews and a two-year international history, the platform's uptime and support quality rest largely on vendor-reported results
- Your stack depends on API or webhook integrations on a fixed budget - both are locked to the custom-priced Expert tier
- Your WhatsApp strategy relies on bulk outreach from regular WhatsApp App numbers - that connection model sits outside Meta's official API and exposes numbers to restriction; use the Business API path or a different approach
- You operate in a regulated industry or need documented data residency - the public privacy policy does not name a storage region and the website does not list security certifications, so verify with sales before sending sensitive data

Free plan with no card and QR-code WhatsApp connection with history sync - but the 3-day trial and a compact help center compress the evaluation window
Getting into Mixdesk is low-friction. A workspace can be registered with a phone number, email, Google, or Facebook account, and every new workspace automatically receives a 3-day trial with Expert-level capabilities - 1,000 conversations and 100 AI messages - before falling back to the Free plan. The official onboarding guide walks through a clear seven-step sequence: register, add team members, configure the support profile, create an AI Agent, build an automation, connect channels, and test a first conversation. Team members are added by the workspace administrator with role-based permission scopes (self, selected groups, or all), which keeps access control sensible from day one.
Channel connection is where setup gets interesting. WhatsApp Business API connects through Meta's Embedded Signup or through service providers such as YCloud and Alibaba Cloud ChatApp. The WhatsApp App option connects an ordinary WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business account by scanning a QR code, and on first connection it imports existing conversation history and contacts - a genuine advantage over platforms that only show messages from the connection date forward. The constraints are time and documentation: three days is very little for configuring AI Agents and workflows on real traffic, and the English help center is compact, with some guides explicitly adapted from their Chinese originals.
One inbox with translation, assignment, and mobile apps on paper - with almost no verified user feedback to confirm how it feels at volume
Mixdesk's daily workspace follows the standard omnichannel pattern: a shared inbox where each conversation shows its channel, assigned owner, contact record, and history, with agents switching between Online and Invisible status to control whether they receive new chats. Built-in translation lets an agent read and reply to a customer writing in another language without leaving the conversation, and AI Agents can hand off to a human with the full context attached. Native iOS and Android apps have been available since 2025, and routing links let marketing campaigns drop customers straight into the right queue with UTM data recorded.
The score is held back by evidence, not by a documented flaw. The major review platforms currently list no meaningful volume of verified Mixdesk user reviews, and the iOS app carries a single rating - so there is no independent signal yet on inbox speed at high volume, mobile reliability, or the rough edges that only show up after months of use. The vendor's customer stories report 10,000+ daily conversations at a digital asset platform and 334,995 messages in 30 days at a gaming company, which suggests the inbox handles scale, but those figures come from Mixdesk's own case studies.
Nine channel types, AI Agents with four knowledge sources, 27+ languages, and external AI connectors - the depth is real, the WhatsApp App path carries risk
Channel coverage is broad and leans toward Asia-Pacific: website chat, WhatsApp Business API, WhatsApp App and Business App, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, TikTok Business, LINE Official Accounts, Telegram bots (including group conversations), and email, plus JavaScript, Android, and iOS SDKs for in-app support. AI Agents are configured with a persona - role, tone, reply rules, service goals - and draw on knowledge bases built from uploaded documents, Q&A pairs, web URLs, and spreadsheets. Teams can run several agents for different jobs, and connectors for Dify and Coze let companies plug in AI agents they have built elsewhere. On Expert, intent extraction and image and voice understanding extend what the AI can act on.
Automation covers audience targeting, triggers, conditional branches, assignment, tagging, and AI-human handoff, while the marketing layer adds bulk messaging, WhatsApp template management, and routing links. The caveat sits in the WhatsApp App connection: it runs each account on a Mixdesk cloud device with a static residential IP, outside Meta's official Business API. Mixdesk's own messaging guidelines warn that WhatsApp may restrict or disconnect accounts and suggest keeping new numbers to 10-15 new contacts per day. For regulated or brand-critical outreach, the Business API path is the safer choice - and it is the path that incurs Meta's standard template fees.
24/7 live chat on every plan and published response targets - but the dedicated support group works UTC+8 weekday hours below Expert
Mixdesk publishes a support standard that is more specific than most vendors in its size bracket. Website live support is listed as 24/7 on every plan, including Free. Issues are triaged into three priorities with stated targets: critical failures (lost messages, unable to sign in) get an initial response within 30 minutes and remedial action within 60 minutes; malfunctioning features get a response within an hour and action by the next business day; minor issues get a response within two hours. Pro and Expert add assisted onboarding, and the infrastructure notes - AWS CloudFront and Cloudflare CDNs, Prometheus and CloudWatch monitoring - show an operations team that documents how incidents are handled.
Two limits keep the score moderate. First, the dedicated support group available on Pro works weekdays 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. UTC+8 - Hong Kong and mainland China hours - which lands overnight for teams in Europe and the Americas; 24/7 priority support is reserved for Expert. Second, with almost no verified user reviews, there is no independent evidence yet on whether the published targets are met in practice. Documentation quality is uneven as well: the English help center covers core setup but is thinner than mature platforms, and some articles openly reference their Chinese source.
No per-seat fees anywhere is a real advantage for larger teams - but AI Agents start at $199, and usage allowances decide the true bill
Mixdesk's workspace-based pricing is its strongest commercial argument. Essential at $49/month ($39 billed annually) gives unlimited teammates, unlimited conversations, 10 connected channel accounts, marketing automation, and CRM sync. For a 15-agent team that would otherwise pay per seat, that flat price is a structural saving that grows with every hire. Pro at $199/month ($159 billed annually) unlocks the AI layer - AI Agents, knowledge base, AI-powered automation, behaviour triggers - with 5,000 AI messages per month and 20 channel accounts. The Free plan is permanent, needs no card, and includes unlimited teammates, although its 10-conversation cap makes it a sandbox rather than a working plan.
The costs to model are usage-based. AI is metered per AI reply, not per conversation: every message an AI Agent sends counts, and a busy deployment can burn through 5,000 quickly. Extra packs cost $100 per 10,000 AI messages. Translation is the less obvious cost: each plan grants a one-time character bonus on first activation (10K on Essential, 100K on Pro) rather than a monthly allowance, and Mixdesk does not publish the rate for translation beyond it - a team that relies on translation daily should get that price in writing. WhatsApp Business Platform fees are billed separately by Meta. The gap between Essential ($49, no AI) and Pro ($199) is steep for small teams that only want a basic AI first responder, and API access is not available on any self-serve plan - teams that need integrations must negotiate Expert pricing.
Import is easy, export is not - API and webhooks sit behind custom-priced Expert, and the privacy policy is silent on where data is stored
Getting data into Mixdesk is straightforward: WhatsApp App connections import prior conversations and contacts, and the developer documentation includes a JavaScript widget, Android and iOS SDKs, UTM tracking, and a CRM sync option from Essential upward. Getting data out is harder. The Mixdesk API - which retrieves conversation and contact data - and the webhook reference for streaming events into another system are both listed as Expert-only capabilities on the pricing page, and the help center does not document a self-serve bulk export for lower tiers. A team on Essential or Pro that later wants to migrate should confirm the export path with Mixdesk before committing.
Governance documentation is thin. The company behind Mixdesk is Beautiful Interaction International Co., Limited in Hong Kong, with offices in Shenzhen and Hangzhou, and its terms are governed by Hong Kong law. The public privacy policy describes retention principles but does not name a data storage region, and the website does not list security certifications such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001. That does not mean controls are missing - Mixdesk offers an enterprise security conversation through sales - but teams with GDPR, data-residency, or procurement requirements need those answers in writing before routing customer conversations through the platform. Workflows, AI personas, and knowledge bases are Mixdesk-specific configurations that would need rebuilding elsewhere.
